Hello my beautiful humans! Happy Wednesday 🛸

How are we feeling today? No really, how are you? Because I just had a 15-minute internal debate with myself over whether to do something productive or scroll TikTok while pretending I’m “resting.” Productivity won this round... barely.

Lately, I’ve been trying to build better habits. Adulting things. Like drinking more water, not scrolling past my bedtime, and resisting the urge to walk downstairs to grab food for every single meal. Some of it’s going well (yay hydration!), and some of it… well, I’m currently typing this at 9:26pm when I promised myself I’d be in bed by 10pm. Baby steps, right?

Now let’s get into this week’s quote! My neighbor posted this one on his Instagram story and I immediately knew I wanted to use it for the weekly quote:

“Someone took the same situation you’re complaining about and won with it.” - Anonymous ✨

Let that marinate for a second. Yeah, take your time. Sit on it. Because when I read this, I felt very seen… and I also felt a little called out.

We all have our moments. The “ugh, this isn’t fair,” or the “why me?” energy. And hey, venting is valid. But this quote? It’s a reminder to check ourselves real quick. Not everything is in our control, but our response to it? Oh, that’s all us.

This isn’t about toxic positivity or pretending life isn’t hard sometimes. It’s about flipping the script. Finding your power in the mess. Instead of sitting in the “this sucks” mindset, what would happen if we said, “okay, this sucks… but what am I gunna do about it?”

It’s not always easy, but it’s empowering. It’s me vs. me. No excuses. Show up, try again, lead by example, even when no one’s watching.

Someone out there is taking the same lemons and building a lemonade empire. And maybe they’re not better than you. Maybe they just decided they were done making excuses 🍋

Here’s the thing: mindset is everything.

You can have the same skills, the same resources, even the same challenges as someone else, but your mindset? That’s the game-changer. It’s the difference between staying stuck and saying, “Alright, here we go… we are rollin’ with it.”

I’ve learned (and am still learning) that most of the battles we fight start in our own heads. That little voice that whispers, “You’re not good enough,” “It’s too late,” or “Why even try?” Yeah, that voice is SO rude, and also lying 😒

But here’s the good news: you don’t have to believe everything you think. You can catch that voice in the act and be like, “Hey, not today. I’m rewriting this story.”

Shifting your mindset doesn’t mean you suddenly love the hard stuff. It means you choose to believe that something better is possible. It means you give yourself a chance. It means you get back in the ring, even after you’ve been knocked down (or knocked yourself down).

Let’s normalize rooting for ourselves, okay?

Let’s be the people who show up even when it’s inconvenient. The ones who say, “I’m tired, but I’m still going to try.” The ones who understand that slow progress is still progress, and a tiny shift in mindset can completely change the direction of your day, your week, your whole life.

Your situation might not change overnight, but your perspective can. And that shift? That’s the start of everything.

So here’s your gentle nudge (lovingly served with a side-eye): don’t let your own thoughts be the thing that holds you back. You are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for. Don’t let the story end here - flip the page.

And remember: someone out there took the same mess and made magic with it!🔮

Why not you?

Love you. Mean it. Go drink some water and get to bed at a reasonable hour, okay? (I’m talking to me and you.)

Trust your journey. Rest your souls, little saplings. Always leave people better than you found them, and have a memorable day and a noteworthy weekend ahead! 👽🫶🏻🧿🌱
